The Osteopathic Approach to Inflammation

A discussion of the role of inflammation in disease and an explanation of the application of osteopathic principles and practices to the inflammatory component of cardiac, respiratory, post-operative conditions, rheumatoid and musculoskeletal disorders.

Participants will be able to apply this understanding to the treatment of inflammation in conditions such as asthma and the common cold, edema / lymphedema, and pain management.

Zinaida Pelkey, D.O., graduate of NYCOM. Attending doctor at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx and on the teaching staffs of the Cranial Academy and the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation. She lectures internationally on Osteopathy and Integrative Medicine. Her private practice of Applied Osteopathy is in Manhattan.
