A SUCCESSFUL INTEGRATIVE APPROACH TO CANCER: MY STORY
Marvelle S. Colby, DPA

June 2, 2005
7-9 PM

Marvelle Colby was diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer in 2001 and subsequently had 2 separate lung tumors, 2 separate neck tumors and 1 brain tumor. After an almost four year respite, she had surgery in December 2004 to remove 2 more primary lung tumors. It is now nearly 5 years since the original diagnosis. After seven tumors, she counts herself as a CAM success story. Or is she an outlier? Come join the discussion.

Marvelle S. Colby, DPA (Doctor of Public Administration), Professor Emeritus of Management, taught at Marymount Manhattan College 1982-2003 following 15 years of management experience in the profit, non-profit and public sectors. Her achievements in advocating management through empowerment earned her listing in Marquis' Who's Who in America. Managing her encounter with cancer was Dr. Colby’s first foray into health care.
