Based on 20 years of clinical experience, Dr. Falk will describe successful treatment approaches for depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety that use conventional medication together with therapies that are not obvious choices for treating mental illness: herbs, supplements, and hormones plus mind-body work.
Katherine Falk, M.D., is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Board Certified in Psychiatry and Neurology , she has practiced psychiatry for 30 years. In 1993, she received The Exemplary Psychiatrist Award from the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill.
